How long does OMGF Play Dough Last?

OMGF Play Dough is a handcrafted play dough (modelling clay) made with no nasty chemicals - likes dyes, paints, sanitisers. We use 100% food grade ingredients only.

We have formulated a long lasting traditional play dough that uses the natural elements of salt and cream of tartar as a preservative.

Unopened, OMGF will last for 6+ months in a place away from direct sunlight. Once opened, the life of the dough greatly depends on nature of play.

Can I use the dough tools I already have?

Yes!! You can definitely use the dough tools you already have, even some other branded 'dough toys'.

OMGF Play DOugh is non sticky, holds its shape and is perfect for all kids of cutting, rolling, pushing etc.

OMGF Dough & Sensory offer its own collection of dough accessories for those who may like to add to their own collection or are just staring out.

Is it edible?

No! Our products are NOT EDIBLE.

We choose to make our goodies out of food grade ingredients as a safer, more natural option for our children.

There are TOO many sensory items on the market made with paints, dyes, lotions, sanitisers, preservatives and so much more, which frankly scares me when more traditional options are available.

OMGF Dough and Sensory stress our items are not food and are NOT intended to be consumed in any capacity.

Is it REALLY Wheat Free?

Yes! All our products are WHEAT FREE by ingredient.

As we are NOT a food item, we are not required to follow the same labelling requirements as gluten free foods, however, we do voluntarily declare all of our ingredients PLUS we conduct LAB Tests with BVAQ annually to ensure our wheat free/gluten free claims are spot on!

We fully understand the importance of tested and well labelled items in an allergy family home.

Postage & Delivery

We ship all our goodies via Australia Post. OMGF offer a flat rate postage in both regular and express shipping.

Orders leave our OMGF headquarters within 2 business days (we like our doughs to be a fresh as possible, and are usually made to order)

Delivery time will vary depending on where in Australia you are located - generally between 2 - 7 days.

All orders are updated with tracking details, so you can follow the movement of your package.

Packaging & the environment

OMGF are mindful of the environment when packaging our goodies.

Dough requires plastic to be air tight, so we focus on packaging that is durable and can be reused many times over.

In our house we re-use our dough tubs for paint, beads, scoops for rice & water play etc.

Our pouches are wipeable and resealable meaning they can be reused again and again.

OMGF are located in NSW Australia.

All our listed prices are in AUD (Australin Dollars)

Currently we do not ship overseas due to custom requirements around 'food' items. In addition many international countries have rules on importing grains and even cocoa products.

We will continue to research and investigate international options

and announce on Socials once on offer.

Returns Policy

OMGF are happy to return and refund items that are faulty, not as advertised or unfit for use.

We do not offer refund for change of mind unless discussed prior. Postage costs for returned items due to change of mind are responsibility of the buyer.

Refunds are processed once returned items are received within 3 - 5 working days.

Tell me more about Wheat Free Play Dough & how it is prepared

OMGF Dough & Sensory pride ourselves in producing allergy friendly products, that are specifically WHEAT FREE by ingredient.

We take a great deal of time to source our ingredients to make our products to ensure they are indeed Wheat Free. We understand that Gluten Free and Wheat Free are NOT the same (i.e., wheat glycose syrup is GF, but not wheat free)

We source our flours & Starches from Gluten Free Wholesalers AU (QLD). Our chosen colourings are VIVID Gel Colours, which are labelled GF. We do NOT use products with MAY contain statements for allergens.

Our products are manufactured in a home kitchen in small controlled batches. Our home is a coeliac home - 2 adults (well one teen) and an infant on a strict GF diet.

We have recently conducted LAB testing with BVAQ using the Coeliac Australia approved testing method of ELISA r-Biopham Gluten, with results showing less than 5 ppm. (which is the smallest reported unit possible) OMGF Dough & Sensory sent 3 samples to BVAQ, which were manufactured at 3 different times - Nov 2024, February 2025 and April 2025.

In Australia, a food product containing less than 5 ppm (parts per million) of gluten is considered "gluten-free". This is the limit of detection for current testing methods. While other regions like the US and Europe allow up to 20 ppm for gluten-free labelling, Australian standards are stricter.

OMGF Dough & Sensory will continue to have LAB tests performed annual to ensure that our product meets expectation of wheat free/gluten free.

OMGF Dough & Sensory would like to stress again that our products are NOT FOOD items and are NOT intended for consumption. We use food grade ingredients only to provide a safer alternative to toxic chemicals used in other sensory play items on the market. With our products NOT BEING FOOD ITEMS we are not subject to the same labelling requirements set out by Food Standards AU & NZ.
